Situated in Nusa Dua southern region of Bali, also famous as the place of high class resort hotel. Bali Collections is the hunting complex set up for the many resorts that are located in the point. With the Grand Hyatt Hotel at the south, the Melia Bali Sol to the north and the twin 'islands' of Nusa Dua just 400 meters to the east, the complex is uncomplicated to find. Nusa Dua itself looks like Beverly Hills, with manicured lawns, spreading properties and distinct lack of anything local. The first thing that strikes you once you walk into Discovery Mall from the central street, is the smell of bread, or shall I say dough. Sweetened dough is one concept that has spread around the world, and like crack to crackheads, this goods is irresistible to consumers. If I ask Indonesians if the they like bread, they'll all say no. Get them to a mall with sweetened dough and they just have to have it.
Discovery Mall is absolutely located to make bank, if the owners pack it with 'bule friendly' merchandise. They currently have Starbucks and Pizza Hut. That together with the 'sugared dough' and $30 surf shorts should have fun with the kids for a good 2 hours.
For guests to Bali, you will find good quality goods in this shopping center. All the stuff has a price tag and prices are non-negotiable. I bought a very great sarong one time from the batik store on the ground floor.
Carrefour
The recent shopping center is Carrefour at the Sunset Road which features the large hypermarket of the French retailer on the top floor selling on over 8000 sqm, food, baked goods, prepared food, wine, diary products, fridges, TVs, luggage, clothing, furniture, computers etc. All in one point similar to a Wal-Mart in the US. The lower floors provide a variety of shops including a Periplus bookshop, an Apple-authorized reseller and many food shops. Opening hours are everyday from 9:30 am to 10:00 pm.
Sukawati

Situated at Gianyar Sukawati has traditional market on the main road and side streets. Known for its art market where you can get the "cheapest price" handicrafts. Wide selection of Balinese handicraft are offered, both in finished and semi-finished statues. A large range of woven baskets can be stumbled on here along with Balinese ceremonial goods made from colourful "Prada" - gold painted cloth. As well paintings, all types of handicrafts and textiles can be had for really good price.
